Do and Don't
Do and Don't
Don’t live your money, bags, documents, electronic devices or anything of value unattended or in your vehicle. And if you must do so, it is better to leave your items in the locked trunk of your vehicle, and out of visual sight.
Park your vehicle only in designated parking lots, failure to do so may cause your vehicle to be towed by the police, and may put you at risk for paying considerable fines.
Beware of beggars that usually circulate in tourist sites, as many of them are professional pickpocketers.
It is best to sign a legal contract when renting a vehicle or when renting a private accommodation to avoid possible misunderstandings/problems with the owners later on.
Take your travel documents with you while traveling within the country, to avoid any sanction by police carrying out routine checks on the roads.
Do not pray at public places, such as malls, or on the streets. Especially at places with majority non-Muslim population (such as Western part of Mostar or Kravice waterfalls), as you may cause negative reactions of the local population. It is best to pray at your hotel accommodation, or in any of numerous mosques throughout BiH.
