Important Rules
Citizens of the State of Qatar are exempted from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit and stay on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina up to 90 days per period of six months, starting from the day of entry. Failure to comply with this provision shall entail payment of fines ranging from 300 to 1,500 KM, deportation from the country and prohibition of entry to BiH for a minimum of one up to five years.
The minimum amount of financial resources required for the stay of foreigners in Bosnia and Herzegovina is KM 150.00 (or equivalent in freely convertible foreign currency) – for each day of intended stay. State Border Police officers may require proof of having enough financial resources for the stay and information regarding the place of stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
There are no laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina allowing foreigners to have real estate ownership rights. Therefore all Qataris who want to purchase real estate in Bosnia and Herzegovina have to register the ownership in favor of a company registered with the competent court in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or to register the property on behalf of an existing trustworthy company opened in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In that case it is necessary to bear in mind that the BH laws do not guarantee any right to the owner of the property registered on behalf of that company.
